QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME A TEXAS NOTARY PUBLIC

In order to become a notary public in Texas, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a legal resident of the State of Texas
     - Texas escrow agents who are residents of an adjoining state are eligible for appointment as a Texas notary
• Have not received a conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude or a felony
